What is the East Coast Greenway?
The East Coast Greenway connects 15 states and 450 cities and towns for 3,000 miles from Maine to Florida. We are fostering a safe walking and biking route through the country’s most populated corridor.
The East Coast Greenway begins its journey in Calais, Maine, at the Canadian border. The route through Maine continues south and west through coastal communities, historic mill cities, and Down East blueberry barrens. It concludes with the Florida Keys Overseas Heritage Trail, which hops from island to island for 106 miles (more than half of which is completed trail).<.p>
In between, it runs the entire east coast, including states like Massachusettes, New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., the Carolinas, and Georgia, among others.
